Nestled in the charming Residenzpassage on Theatinerstraße in Munich, KANSO COFFEE LAB is a sanctuary for coffee enthusiasts and those seeking an escape from the city's hustle and bustle. This coffee shop not only serves as a breather from the busy streets but also doubles as a destination that showcases a meticulous dedication to craft coffee and a cozy atmosphere.
From my very first visit, I was captivated by the vibrant yet relaxed vibe that thrives within the outdoor courtyard. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the smiling faces of the skilled baristas, each bursting with enthusiasm for their craft. Tommy, one of the baristas, made my experience memorable, adding a personal touch as he shared insights into my chosen white tea. This level of engagement notes the profound understanding and passion for both coffee and tea that radiates from every corner of Kanso.
Beverage offerings at KANSO are impressive; their coffee is rich, flavorful, and crafted with an attention to detail that rivals some of the finest cafes in the world. Customers rave about the expertly made cappuccinos and flat whites, which come adorned with stunning latte art. The ability to learn about the origins of the coffee beans—like those sourced from the mountain sides of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala—adds an educational element to your drinking experience, enhancing the appreciation of each cup.
A delightful selection of pastries complements the drink menu, although experiences vary. I could not resist trying the innovative pistachio croissant, which was as delicious as it was visually appealing. However, I was left feeling let down by the cinnamon roll, which failed to meet the high standards set by the cafe’s skillful creations. Yet, the overall atmosphere and the standout drinks make KANSO COFFEE LAB a must-visit.
For anyone in Munich seeking a remarkable coffee experience, KANSO COFFEE LAB delivers not just coffee but also a sense of community. This hidden gem invites you to savor your beverage while basking in a tranquil setting. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, immerse yourself in the warm, welcoming atmosphere and enjoy the exceptional quality that KANSO has to offer.

Had an amazing experience at Kanso Coffee Lab today! I tried their white tea — absolutely delicious. Tommy, the barista, was super friendly and knowledgeable, shared great info about the tea, and made the whole visit even better. I’ll definitely come back again — this is one of the spots I highly recommend in Munich for both coffee and tea!

The coffee here is exceptional — rich, flavorful, and made with real care. Baristas are friendly, skilled, and clearly love what they do. Cozy-modern vibe, amazing pastries, and a flat white I can’t quit. This place is my coffee addiction in Munich!

Best coffee in Germany. Set in a beautiful little outdoor courtyard. It is very difficult to find barista quality coffee in Europe but the coffee here was correctly made and beautifully served on a wooden board with little explanations on the flavours of the beans. A little difficult to find the cafe but that adds to the charm.

We stopped by Kanso Coffee Lab for a coffee, and I have to say I really loved the vibe. The small yard out front creates a cozy atmosphere, and the cool crowd makes the place feel vibrant and alive. The baristas are clearly skilled — the latte art was a highlight for me, and it immediately reminded me of home, where latte art is part of everyday coffee culture. On the pastry side, they had three options: butter croissant, pistachio croissant (in a trendy cube shape), and cinnamon roll. We tried the pistachio croissant and the cinnamon roll. The croissant was fun and creative, while the cinnamon roll was unfortunately a disappointment. It didn’t taste fresh to me — the texture was oddly chewy, which really stood out in contrast to the otherwise high standards of the café. Overall, Kanso Coffee Lab is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers who appreciate a good atmosphere and beautifully crafted drinks. I’d happily come back for the coffee and croissants, but I’d skip the cinnamon roll next time.

Konso Coffee is a local secret of Munich that should be told. Tucked away behind luxury stores, Konso opens up to an interior courtyard, protected from the busy streets of the city. The cappuccino Konso delivers is expertly crafted, with an attention to detail that would rival the finest coffee houses. A fantastic detail is Konso sharing the source of the bean from which the coffee is brewed. In our case the mountain sides of Lake Atitlan Guatemala. Having visited a coffee plantation overlooking the lake, I have deep respect for that particular cooperative. If you should find yourself in Munich, step away from the crowds, the tourists, and the hustle of the city. Allow yourself to find a bit of tranquility at Konso. You won’t regret it. Enjoy.

Absolutely love this place! The coffee is exceptional, you can really taste the quality and care that goes into every cup. The baristas are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern. They also had some delicious pastries that paired perfectly with my flat white. Definitely one of the best specialty coffee spots in Munich I’ve been to and continue to return to - highly recommend!

This place is phenomenal! One of my favorite things to do while traveling the world is try all the best coffee shops I can find and this definitely rates in my top 10. I tried their tasting menu (which was absolutely incredible) and finished with a Cortado. All the coffee was incredibly brewed and balanced. I also bought a bag of the El Puente and have tried it as a v60 3 times now. Perfectly roasted, and is one of the best coffees I’ve brewed at home! Highly recommend!

Kanso Coffee is, in my opinion, the best coffee shop in Munich. It’s small and charming, yet perfectly located in the heart of the city. The baristas are skilled and welcoming, and the coffee is consistently excellent!
